For this assignment I chose to focus on the community of Pahoa which is situated on the flank of the Mount Kilauea volcano. I examined one asset and one operation that are threatened by unique scenarios and looked at how they might be impacted.

In this assignment, I use an ArcGIS StoryMap to help better understand how climate change may impact the neighborhood of Kensington in the city of Philadelphia, PA. Kensington is an interesting location due to its storied history, formerly dense urbanized environment, rapid recent gentrification, coastal location, and forecast major changes in weather for the area. In this assignment for GEOG 5230, FEMA's Resilience Analysis and Planning Tool is used to look at measuring risk in Hilo, Hawaii from natural hazards. RAPT helps us better understand ways to leverage Federal dollars to mitigate these risk.
